The Remote Auditor

What will internal auditing look like in the future?

As a result of the pandemic, the definition of „normal operations“ for internal auditing has been redefined in almost all companies around the world. Within internal audit, audit plans were changed, site visits became impossible, and new ways of performing daily tasks were found. Many processes and procedures were permanently changed – but to what extent? And how do they plan to support the profession in the future?

These questions and more are explored in The Remote Auditor: Challenges, Opportunities, and New Ways of Working, a joint report from the Internal Audit Foundation and AuditBoard that focuses on new working models, maintaining healthy relationships, and organizational culture, key technologies, and the skills needed for success.
